The FILTRA Group is now an official member of CEBU FAME-Go Green Philippines!

Last July 28, 2011, The Filtra Group was welcomed as an official member of CEBU FAME-Go Green Philippines by key officers and over 60 members of CEBU FAME, in the recently held Annual General Meeting in Parklane Hotel, Cebu City.

Cebu FAME Incorporated, established in 1986 is a non-profit association that has been converted into a Foundation, the FAME Foundation Phils., Inc. with active membership base of over 60 companies supported by numerous sub-contractors numbering from about 1,000 to 2,000 groups. One of the foundation’s major programs is GO GREEN PHILIPPINES, a partnership project with the Department Of Environment and Natural Resources Region VII which ensures the sustainability of the country’s natural resources. Its primary mission-Forest Management, aims to replenish a 100-hectare barren land with lush tree plantations by 2015.

Established in year 2000, the FILTRA Group is a partly Danish-managed organization, consisting of several business units categorized into numerous areas particularly, wood business. Among the brands it carries are Idewood, which focuses on Timber trading, sourcing and product development; Scandwood, the distributor of European-inspired outdoor furniture, decking and accessories; and Gastro Chef, a kitchen line that showcases both Danish design principles and Philippine craftsmanship.

Since its inception, the Filtra group has used only ethically and legally sourced wood species from managed forests and plantations in the Philippines. Filta group strengthens this commitment by continuously supporting similar projects such as Go Green Philippines– its advocacy and various initiatives.
As the brand grows, its commitment in helping save the environment also furthers.
